Halloween is always a big event for me and the SC Crew. Making costumes year round just fuels the fire for a wild night out on the town. I took this year off from donning any Star Wars costumes and opted to dress as Ozzy Osbourne. ![]() ![]() ![]() Paul gets into true Shrek form with some facial exercises, Kim tries to contain herself and Kurt gets his bunny ears ready.
Other than NYC and possibly San Francisco, Athens, GA is the best place to run around and enjoy yourself at Halloween. With mild Southern weather, 26 bars in 4 blocks is not a bad thing. :-) Our first stop was "The Globe", a local watering hole for the well educated drinker and a great place to prime the pump. Guiness Beer and Aberlour Scotch is always on hand here. ![]() This nicely costumed officer let us crash in on his sitting space in the corner. ![]() Berni got a chair, lucky girl. ![]() The GA501st crowd showed up and Sith Vixen was leading the way. ![]() Sharon was mugging for the camera with her new scout armor on. ![]() SithV and Mike (is that right?) hanging out in the crowded bar ![]() Vader Painter, Aka Bob Bean, holds out a warm glove , looking for a beer. ![]() Jimmy sporting his new Jango Fett armor. ![]() Two Ozzy's in the same place. There was never so much evil in one room before. ![]() Wayne and Garth. ![]() These guys never get tired of having their picture taken. :-) ![]() As we left The Globe in search of another good time, Death was walking the other way, recording the event. We ended up hanging outside the "Bluesky" coffee house and the "Lunch Paper" bar. The Lunch paper had a makeshift open-air deck area where you could sip a drink mere inches from the crowded sidewalk. This was probably the most busy walking area in downtown Athens. ![]() Bob was immediately swamped by hotties wanting their picture taken with the Sith Lord. ![]() Queen Amidala was out walking the street. ![]() Poppa Smurf, 'nuff said. ![]() Two "Kiss" fans. I know what I'd like to kiss! Yaahhhh!!! ![]() Evil was all over the Athens on this brisk evening. Teletubbies, the most evil thing on children's television, got their picture taken with the Prince of Darkness. ![]() Druisilla and Spike. ![]() One of the more unique costumes of the night, The Shredder, from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. ![]() A very sloshed Kurt is impressed by this "Alice" trio. ![]() I never get tired of seeing a Darkman costume.
